Cambridge Movers Exam

 

On the right there are the vocabulary and grammar lists for Flyers. Students are expected to know all the grammar and vocabulary from these list including the grammar and vocabulary from the Starters  (which is also included).

Reading and Writing

Speaking

 

The speaking exam has four parts and lasts between 5 - 7 minutes.

 

El examen oral tiene cuatro partes y dura entre 5-7 minutos.

 

 

Part One

 

 

There are two pictures that have differences. Students must say the differences between the two photos.

 

Hay dos imágenes que tienen diferencias. Los estudiantes deben decir las diferencias entre las dos fotos.

 

 

Useful Phrases

 

Present Continuous

 

For peoples' actions we use the present continuous:

 

The girl is reading. / The girl isn't reading.

 

The boy is wearing a hat. / The boy isn't wearing a hat.

 

 

Present Simple

 

To describe things we use the present simple:

 

The pilot's uniform is green. / The pilot's uniform is blue.

 

The old woman has got straight hair. / The old woman has got curly hair.

 


But

 

I can see .......    but       I can't see ......

 

There is / There are .......     but       There isn't / There aren't .......

 

In picture A .....    but     In picture B ......

Example

 

We need to make the sentences sound interesting:

 

In picture A, I can see an umbrella behind the pilot but in picture B, the umbrella is in front of the pilot.

 

 

 

Part Two

 

 

In part two, students will be shown four pictures that form a story. The examiner tells the student the title of the story and begins the story using the first picture. Students must finish the story using the other three pictures.

 

En la segunda parte, los estudiantes se muestran cuatro imágenes que forman una historia. El examinador le dice al estudiante el título de la historia y comienza la historia con la primera imagen. Los estudiantes deben terminar la historia con las otras tres imágenes.

 

 

Useful Phrases

 

 

Present Continuous

 

For peoples' actions we use the present continuous:

 

Tommy is studying in his bedroom.

 

 

Present Simple

 

To describe things we use the present simple:

 

It is night time. His bedroom is tidy.

 

 

Adjectives

 

Use some adjectives:

 

Happy / Sad / Serious / Beautiful / Cloudy / Sunny etc

Tommy is getting dressed. He is sitting on his bed. It is the morning and it is a sunny day.

 

 

 

Part Three

 

 

In part three, students will be shown pictures in sets of four, three pictures will have something in common and one will be different. Students must say which one is different and why.

 

En la tercera parte, estudiantes se mostrarán fotografías en conjuntos de cuatro, tres fotos tendrán algo en común y uno será diferente. Los estudiantes deben decir que uno es diferente y por qué.
